
Myke COTTON

About
Born and bred in East London, Myke found his love of theatre, often seeing West End Theatre and films as a child. At 13 he had already become part of the prestigious Theatre Royal Stratford East Youth Theatre. Whilst there, Michael was chosen to appear in a new TV film ‘SAFE’.
At 17 he continued his love of theatre by attending The Guildford School of Acting. Myke was fortunate enough to leave GSA before graduation to appear in the New Cameron Mackintosh West End show Martin Guerre, working with the acclaimed director Declan Donellan. He then went on to a career in theatre including; Julius Caesar, Cats, Les Miserables, My Fair Lady, Oliver! and West Side story, to name a few
Myke was nominated for best supporting actor (Midland Movie awards 2019) for his role in Carriages. Which also won the screentest award for best comedy.
In 2007 Myke recorded an album, on the Dress Circle label, of classic musical/Jazz duets by Arlen & Mercer entitled ‘Out Of This World’. The album became number one in the Jazz CDs chart within a week of its release.
After the success of 'Out Of This World' Myke was asked to perform as part of the international recording group TEATRO; Taking him from theatres and venues from Africa to the U.S.A. and enabling him to raise funds for the Charity Kidzcan in Zimbabwe.
